Changed By 9/11: West Islip
Last year, West Islip Patch collected the memories of locals from that tragic day.
9/11 affected many of us in different ways – some knew someone in the planes, the towers or a first responder. Others, while not directly affected, have felt the impact shape their lives in different ways.
During the tenth anniversary of September 11th, 2001, many of your fellow readers sent in their memories of that terrible day and how it had affected their lives.
We present those stories here as a reminder of how, out of tragedy comes triumphs and changes.
