West Islip native named to NESCAC All Conference Team.

West Islip’s Paige Engeldrum, a senior on Hamilton College’s women’s lacrosse team, was selected to the 2012 New England Small College Athletic Conference’s (NESCAC) All Conference Team.
Engeldrum tied for first in the conference with 42 ground balls and led Hamilton with 20 caused turnovers. A four-year starter at Hamilton, she anchored a defense that ranked second in the NESCAC with 306 groundballs. Engeldrum closed out her college career with 125 ground balls and 54 caused turnovers for the Continentals.
Prior to joining the NESCAC, Engeldrum started on a defensive unit that led the Liberty League with 6.50 goals allowed per game in 2011 and just 5.95 per game in 2010.
Nationally ranked No. 20 Hamilton (9-8 overall, 4-6 NESCAC) played nine games against ranked teams this year. The Continentals, who were seeded sixth for the NESCAC championship, pulled off an upset in the quarterfinals for the second straight season. Hamilton lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Trinity College
