Fire Breaks Out At West Islip Residence

The multiple-alarm fire broke out on Tuesday night, the West Islip Fire Department says.

WEST ISLIP, NY — A fire that broke out at a West Islip home on Tuesday night is currently under investigation, the West Islip Fire Department said.

At about 10:46 p.m., the department said it responded to a report of a residential structure fire at a Fairfax Avenue home with multiple calls, according to a social media post.

Additional support was provided by North Babylon Fire Company, Bay Shore Fire Department, Deer Park Fire Department, Babylon Fire Department, and Bay Shore Brightwaters Ambulance.

The fire was placed under control within an hour of operations.
