Firefighters Battle Vehicle Blaze On Long Island: FD
Firefighters battled a blaze that ravaged a vehicle on Long Island's Robert Moses Causeway Friday night, according to West Islip FD.

WEST ISLIP, NY — West Islip firefighters were called to the scene of a vehicle engulfed in flames on the Robert Moses Causeway on Friday night, according to fire department officials.
The West Islip Fire Department was activated for a report of a vehicle fire on the Robert Moses Causeway near the Double Span bridge around 8:40 p.m.
Firefighters said that upon arrival, Chief of Department Robert Celeste confirmed a fully involved auto to incoming units.

"First due units quickly stretched hose lines and began extinguishing the fire while other crews conducted a primary search of the vehicle," officials said.
Crews confirmed that all occupants were out of the vehicle and it took them around 10 mins to extinguish the fire, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
