'Keeping Our Children Safe' Event Aims To Protect Suffolk Families
A community event will share information about protecting children from online dangers, vaping and smoking, and human trafficking.
WEST ISLIP, NY — The West Islip community is trying to raise awareness for children and build a safe community.
A presentation called "Keeping Our Children Safe" will take place on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Beach Street Middle School in West Islip.
Sergeant Richard Tedescoof the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office will lead the presentation and share information about protecting children from online dangers, human trafficking, and the dangers of smoking and vaping.

The event is hosted by Suffolk County Legislator Steve Flottoron, the West Islip School District, and The Women of West Islip.
