Meet Prince, Shelter Pet of the Week

Prince is a gorgeous, friendly, adult male pup with a medium-length, black coat of fur at the Town of Islip Animal Shelter who's just waiting to find his forever home filled with much love and care to spare.

Prince is a Chow Chow who's submissive and loves to cuddle, according to shelter staff.

He also walks nicely on the leash, and knows some obedience commands, they said.

"He's a wonderful dog that has only one issue. He does have food aggression issues. He'll do fine in a home that knows how to work with the issue and manage it," explained the staff.

The staff calls him "super sweet in all other ways," and feels Prince "should still make a wonderful addition in the right home."

They urged, "Please come to the shelter and meet Prince."
