LONG ISLAND, NY — Voters in New York's 9th Assembly District will see an incumbent challenged as they head to the polls on Nov. 5.

The candidates:

  • Michael Durso (Republican)
  • Steven Dellavecchia (Democrat)

Incumbent Michael Durso, of Massapequa Park, was first elected in 2020, according to Ballotpedia.

Dellavecchia, a political newcomer, is a member of the North Babylon Volunteer Fire Company. He resides in West Babylon.
