Plenty of Varsity Sports Action, Last Day to Donate a Costume

Welcome to Wednesday, Oct. 23 and from the looks of it it's likely to be a wet and cloudy day with a 70 percent chance of showers starting light in the morning but becoming heavier later in the day.

It's the last day to donate to the Helping Hands organization effort to collect new and gently used Halloween costumes and back to school clothes for the needy in the first half of the week. Drop off is at the West Islip Fire House on Union Boulevard and deadline is 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
