Good Sam Annual Ball Set for Sept. 27

The 51st annual Good Samaritan Ball, “An Evening at the Copacabana” will be held on Friday, September 27, 7 p.m. to midnight at Crest Hollow Country Club.

The 2013 Gala Honorees are long-time West Islip residents Lorraine and John Pace, well known throughout the region for their business, civic and philanthropic work. The event will support The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, with proceeds to benefit the Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Help Us Map the Potholes in West Islip
Potholes are a bane of suburbia and with cutbacks on town services they often get worse before they are fixed, and if left unfixed when winter hits they can pose a big danger and a big car repair bill at times.As West Islip Patch reported last February, big storms like Sandy and winter storms can ravage road and make little potholes into big potholes that are then often obscured by snow.
So where are the bad potholes in West Islip?
Blood Drive at Good Sam Sept. 30
Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip will be hosting a blood drive on Monday, September 30 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Registration will be the day of the event and held in the hospital's Patio Cafe location.
