Toddlers and their parents can enjoy storytime at the library on Tuesday. Storytime for tots ages 24 months to 41 months will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Helping Hands in West Islip is hosting a holiday toy drive for local children in need on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 1738.
Enjoy knitting? Come down to the Library to show off your techniques and maybe learn something new in the Knitting Circle. Please bring knitting needles, a pattern, and yarn to the group, which starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The West Islip Public Library is offering a free movie showing Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Coffee and cookies will be served.
On Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., parent can pick up gently used sporting equipment—free of charge—through Operation Grand Slam at Kirdahy Elementary.
