According to Bestplaces.net, the cost of housing alone is 69 percent cheaper in Tuscon than in West Islip. Food, utilities, transportation and healthcare are all cheaper in fact. Overall Tuscon is 39 percent cheaper than West Islip in cost of living expenses.
But then again, a salary of $50,000 for a resident in West Islip dips quite a bit -- to about $30, 518.Â
