What's Coming Up at the West Islip Library

Make sure you register early as programs fill up fast.

As October winds down it's time to get geared up for all the programs and events happening at the West Islip Library in November.

Registration for November programs begins at 10 a.m. on Wedneday, Oct. 30. Remember to register as early as possible as programs fill up quick, especially the holiday-themed workshops and presentations.

First up, the library will be holding a month-long food drive so remember to bring a non-perishable food item when you stop in during the month.

If you're a teen cupcake maven, then you'll want to get some creative ideas in hand for the cupcake contest happening on Nov. 20.

November's art exhibits will definitely be worth a visit to the library: Paul Padovano will display his Landscapes and Seascapes paintings in the Gallery Hall this month and Victor Pepitone will display his Veterans’ Military Memo-rabilia, such as helmets, uniforms and equipment in the Entrance Foyer Case this month.

The library's full program of events for November and December is available for easy viewing online. Just click here.
