The Helping Hands organization in West Islip will be accepting new and gently used Halloween costumes and back to school clothes for the needy in the first half of the week. Drop off is at the West Islip Fire House on Union Boulevard and deadline is 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

COMING UP LATER THIS WEEK
The Women of West Islip are holding its third annual Oktoberfest event at Farrells of Brooklyn, in West Islip, and the fun kicks off at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 and gets you a free drink, light buffet and DJ music. There will be a Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle.
