2024 Grand Marshal For NYC St. Patrick's Parade Has Westchester Ties
She will be only the fifth woman in more than 250 years to lead the annual parade.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County — as well as White Plains and Iona University — will be well represented when the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade makes its way through the streets of the city.
The grand marshal for the 2024 parade will be Margaret C. “Maggie” Timoney.
She is the president and CEO of Heineken USA which is based in White Plains.

The Connecticut resident received both her bachelor of arts and master of business administration degrees at Iona University in New Rochelle.
According to the parade’s website, Timoney was a standout player on Iona’s women’s basketball team.

Her tenure of more than 20 years with the Heineken Group in the United States, Netherlands, Canada and Ireland allowed her to be recognized as a transformational leader, the parade’s website said.
Before joining Heineken, Timoney worked for Gallo and Anheuser-Busch.
She will be only the fifth woman in more than 250 years to lead the NYC St. Patrick’s Day parade as grand marshal, the Irish Star reported.
The NYC St. Patrick's Day parade will be held Saturday, March 16. It will begin at 11 a.m. on Fifth Avenue at 44th Street in Manhattan.
