5 Prominent White Plains Business Leaders & Attorneys Among First to be Profiled with New "My Defining Moments" Copywriting Service

Five White Plains prominent business leaders and attorneys were among the first to be profiled with “My Defining Moments,” a new creative copywriting service that was launched a year ago by award-winning communications consultant Frank Pagani .My Defining Moments is designed to help successful business people, baby boomers and seniors tell the stories about the events that changed their lives.

Among those profiled:

·        William M. Mooney, Jr., former President of The Westchester County Association and top banking executive, whose career was shaped when he was hired at age 17 as a clerk at Citibank. While there he had the good fortune of meeting and being mentored on how to succeed by two young executives.

·        It was an era when few young men went to college and it turned out to be Mooney’s good fortune when the two took him under their wing. That encounter, plus the encouragement of his wife, Joan, inspired him to go to night school to get the college degree that indeed led to his future success as a top banking executive and then as head of Westchester’s preeminent business advocacy group.

·        Joel Lever, founding partner of Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP  whose legal career began at age 26 as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn where he prosecuted criminals including child abusers. “That experience, which pitted me at a young age against some of the best attorneys, taught me not only how to think fast on my feet but to identify and relate to the emotion of the case which could be very powerful when children under the age of 12 were involved.”

·        Barbara Hart, COO and head of the White Plains, NY securities litigation practice Lowey Dannenberg Cohen & Hart, who attributes her success to the mentorship early in her career of noted litigator Bernard Persky who played a key role in high profile class actions, securing major monetary recoveries that serve to protect businesses, consumers and the public at large.

·        Richard S. Hobish, co-founder and Executive Director/CEO of the Pro Bono Partnership, White Plains, NY whose career was profoundly impacted by the experience of serving as a big brother to an abused boy while he was attending Oberlin College.

·        Philip M. Halpern, managing partner of White Plains-based Collier, Halpern, Newberg, Nolletti & Bock,  who says he owes his success as a litigation to the good fortune he had in working as a law clerk for Federal judge Irving Ben Cooper in the Southern District in New York.. “Over the next two years, Cooper took me under his wing and taught me everything I know about how to become an effective trial lawyer.”

Pagani created other My Defining Moments profiles of leading professionals as well as Executive Directors of business membership organizations in Westchester and Connecticut.

My Defining Moments continues Pagani’s Getting Your Story Right value proposition of his strategic public relations and marketing communications consulting business. By closely collaborating with clients, Pagani helps to create high-impact communications by first Getting Your Story Right, an approach whereby he drills down and unleashes the core messages that uniquely set a company, product or service apart from the competition.

A typical My Defining Moments consists of a 750 to 1,000-word narrative and is created as a result of Pagani conducting an in-depth phone interview with the client.  The final approved draft can be used to maximum and lasting effect by adding it to the individual’s Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, personal blog, website or as part of a traditional family album that can be printed or produced as a CD.

Pagani noted, “I think baby boomers are potentially a significant market for My Defining Moments as they will have more time to reflect on their personal histories as they join the retirement ranks.”
