American Christmas opens its showroom to benefit United Way

MOUNT VERNON November 16, 2021 - American Christmas, creators of the most impressive holiday light displays in New York City, brings you Illuminations, an indoor holiday light exhibit, at their Mount Vernon showroom. The walkthrough event will be open on select dates from November 27 to December 23, and all the proceeds will benefit United Way of Westchester and Putnam. Admission to the event is $5 a person.

The exhibit is stylized as a Christmas “selfie museum,” where guests will take a self-guided tour through the lighted path. Along the way, guests will take pictures at different stations, with each station featuring a spectacular Christmas decoration. This family-friendly indoor experience is sure to amaze all visitors.

American Christmas is no stranger to creating beautiful Christmas experiences. They have been providing local communities with Christmas displays for over thirty years. American Christmas provides displays and lights for many events, notably the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular.

Dan Casterella, CEO of American Christmas, created this event for two selfless reasons. “I wanted to have a space where local families could come to get some Christmas Joy without having to sacrifice something else during this season. I also wanted to give back to the local community, and with 100% of donations going to the local United Way, I hope this event does both.”

Tom Gabriel, CEO of United Way of Westchester and Putnam (UWWP), said, “We are so excited to be partnering with American Christmas on this new initiative. With 40% of our neighbors living paycheck to paycheck or in poverty, we hope that by providing some extra Christmas spirit this year, we can give a little hope to those who may need it.”

Tickets can be obtained at uwwp.org/illuminations. The dates and times are as follows: November 27th and 28th, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. On December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. Illuminations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
