The White Plains Middle School Math A-Team of Jacob Brady, Justin George, Michael Kourakos and Noah Lichtblau finished second in the Westchester-Putnam MathCounts tournament, held last Saturday at Pace University. Jacob Brady placed second individually in the competition’s countdown round and fifth individually overall.
The team will travel to Troy, New York, on March 17th, to the New York State MathCounts competition at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Teachers Tara Simmons and Jennifer Smith are Advisors to the team.
