Peter Becerra of White Plains Dies at 52

Peter Becerra, 52, passed away on May 18 surrounded by his loved ones. Peter is survived by his loving bride of 27 years, Tracey (nee McGuin) and his adoring children Stephani, Matthew, Lauren, Kyle, and Taryn.

Peter was a loving father, husband, son, brother and uncle. He was born in White Plains,NY in January 1960,devoted son of Isabel ( Calero) and the late Frank L. Becerra.

He is also survived by his siblings, Maria Gallagher, (Denis) Frank, (Liz) Joseph, Tony (Kristin) and Billy. His mother-in-law Dorothy McGuin, sister-in-laws, Vicky, Kim, Tuesdee, Stephanie, and brothers-in-law Ray, George, Dan, Bill, and many nieces and nephews.

Peter graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains and served in the US Coast Guard after college. Peter met the love of his life, Tracey, while stationed in Virginia. Peter went on to work for the Loudoun County Sheriff Office attaining the rank of Sergeant.

In 1995 Pete and his family moved to White Plains where Peter worked for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office as a Criminal Investigator for 17 years. Peter was recently promoted to Senior Investigator. He was assigned to Homeland Security and the FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force.

Peter was a Little League Coach, Member of the Hope Engine WPVFD, active member of OLS Parish and Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 188, the Westchester County Detectives Association, and the Westchester County D.A. PBA. 

Visitation will be on Sunday 5-9 PM, Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM Funeral Mass Tuesday 11:00 AM Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment to follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
