Star-Studded Events for JazzFest White Plains 2025

A cultural celebration will transform downtown White Plains into a vibrant hub of musical artistry September 10-14. Some events are Free.

ArtsWestchester, the City of White Plains and the White Plains BID will present star-studded ticketed events for JazzFest White Plains 2025, a cultural celebration that transforms downtown White Plains into a vibrant hub of musical artistry.

While many of JazzFest White Plains’ performances from September 10th to 14th are free, this year's festival boasts an exceptional lineup of five ticketed concerts featuring some of the most acclaimed names in jazz, including:

September 10th: Kick off JazzFest 2025 with an exclusive dinner concert featuring the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet and dinner by Via Garibaldi. Award-winning trombonist, composer, and educator Wycliffe Gordon, known for his dynamic sound and deep roots in jazz, will enchant audiences while they enjoy a buffet dinner.

September 11th: The Jazz & Poetry Choir Collective (J&PCC will present original pieces and pay homage to artists celebrated for their work across poetry and jazz improvisation. J&PCC members bring experience, narrative, and playfulness to the stage, elevating the art of spoken word jazz to new heights.

September 12th: The sensational Kurt Elling, a 17-time GRAMMY Nominee and award-winning vocalist, will be accompanied by GRAMMY-winning pianist Joey Calderazzo, celebrated for his robust swing and poetic insight. This intimate collaboration promises an evening of unparalleled vocal artistry and masterful piano.

September 13th: Saturday offers two extraordinary ticketed events:

  • GRAMMY-Award-nominated alto saxophonist and composer Immanuel Wilkins is one of the vital voices of jazz in the 21st century. Ranked number one in the 2023 Downbeat Critics Poll in three categories (Alto Saxophonist, Rising Star Composer, and Rising Star Group), Wilkins is an artist not to be missed.
  • Experience one of the greatest living pianists in the world, Kenny Barron, joined by his "ironclad trio." Barron's performance is set to be a masterclass in jazz piano, showcasing his unparalleled skill and artistry.

Beyond these ticketed highlights, JazzFest White Plains offers a rich program of free events, including the visionary improvisations of Craig Taborn, the smooth sounds of Sherry Winston at the Farmers Market, and the culminating free, all-day "Sunday Jazz Alfresco" event on September 14th, headlined by the unique sound of the Steve Turre Sextet, renowned for his trombone and seashell mastery.
