Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester Marlins Earn Top Honors

For the second time in the history of the team, the Boy & Girls Club of Northern Westchester’s Marlins have earned Bronze-medal status through USA Swimming Club Excellence Program. The Marlins ranked as one of the highest top 120 teams nationwide.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester Marlins for achieving Bronze Level Club Excellence status in the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to your dedication, hard work, and commitment to the sport of swimming,” said Nate Chessey, Advisor, Team Services for USA Swimming Club.

USA Swimming announced the top 200 clubs recognized as Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal clubs in the 2023-2024 Club Excellence Program this week. The program annually recognizes the highest-performing clubs in developing athletes aged 18 years and younger.

Marlins Head Coach Zac Hojnacki, who was recently named Head Coach of the Year by the Metropolitan Swim Club, said, “Thank you to all of our swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and community for helping us continue to provide our athletes with opportunities to grow and thrive as athletes — and more importantly as people — year after year."
