Good Counsel Wall of Fame Induction and 90th Anniversary Reception Gala

The is honoring five outstanding alumnae who demonstrate Compassion, through Service, Leadership, and Connectedness to the Good Counsel High School community.

The honorees are as follows:

Sr. Lucille Coldrick, RDC ’54 who currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Stepniac High School and is the former principal of both Preston High School and The Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School

Denise Duquet McAnaly Hanifer ’53 who received her entire education through the Sisters of the Divine Compassion finishing at Good Counsel College; she is the founder of the Hilda Duquet Memorial Scholarship Fund at the high school.  

Mary Anne Zepf Polistina ’76, another recipient, received her MAT from Brown University, taught English at GCA and is currently the Director of Admissions at The Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.

Carol Tori Sarcinella ’55 is a retired teacher from the Tarrytown/ Sleepy Hollow School District and is the president of the Scarsdale Women’s Club.  

Betty Hendron Turner ’45 founded the Elizabeth Turner Scholarship at GCA and currently serves as the executive assistant to Ebby Halliday, founder and chairperson of the board of Ebby Halliday, Realtors.

The first annual Sr. Constance Conroy, RDC ’43 Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Sr. Ellen McGrath, RDC, former teacher at GCA Elementary and St. Bernard’s School in White Plains. She is also former Director of Admissions/ Registrar at Good Counsel College. She has served as a loyal member of the administrative staff at The Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School since 1977.

What: The Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony and 90th Anniversary Cocktail Reception Gala

When: Thursday, April 26, 2012, The Feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel

Where: Good Counsel campus, 52 N. Broadway

The evening will begin with a liturgy and Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the Chapel of the Divine Compassion followed by a Cocktail Reception Gala at Mapleton of Good Counsel. Tickets are $100.
