WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — It’s winter and there are many activities taking place in Westchester County, including the art of making maple syrup.
The Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation is offering sugaring events throughout the county this season, officials said.
County Executive George Latimer said the sugaring events provide families the opportunity to not only get out during the winter months, but to also learn more about making syrup from the beginning to end.
