White Plains Job Club Offers Skills, Support

The weekly Job Club in White Plains aims to improve the job-searching skills of local prospective employees.

Mercedes Granados used to have a job providing office support services but she was laid off. She's doing what she can to expand her skill base, and is exploring the requirements for a commerical drivers' license.

She's also attending Job Club meetings at the White Plains Library.

"It's really helpful to meet other people who are looking," she told Patch.
