Kid Who Arranged Meetup To Sell A Watch On Middle School Campus Robbed By Kids With Gun: Police
Two juveniles have since been charged in connection to the crime, and a gun was recovered, according to White Plains police.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A meetup arranged on an online marketplace went horribly wrong for a Westchester juvenile, who was robbed at gunpoint.
On July 25, the victim arranged to meet with two juvenile suspects at Eastview Middle School to sell a watch via the OfferUp application, police said.
During the transaction, the victim allowed one suspect to try on the watch, but the suspect refused to return the watch, according to cops, When the victim demanded the watch back, both suspects threatened the victim. One suspect reached into his backpack and displayed a handgun, placing the victim in fear of serious physical injury, police said. Both suspects then fled the scene with the watch, according to authorities.

The victim immediately called 911 and described the suspects.
Patrol officers canvassed the area and located two juvenile suspects near Westchester Avenue. A foot pursuit ensued. One suspect was apprehended in the Amherst parking lot, where officers report recovering a handgun from his backpack. The second suspect initially fled the area but was later identified with assistance from the Yonkers Police Department. After multiple attempts to locate him, the second suspect was ultimately apprehended without incident, police said.

Both juvenile suspects were charged with robbery, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
