Man Accused of Flashing Knife in City Mall

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A City man police believe flashed a three-inch blade at a customer at the Galleria of White Plains food court faces a pair of misdemeanor charges.

A man passing through the food court at about 8:20 a.m. Monday said the 67-year-old suspect began mumbling something to him as he passed and then showed him the knife. After leaving the area, the alleged victim called police.

Police report finding the 67-year-old still in the food court with the knife in his pocket when they arrived. He was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.

The man was processed at police headquarters and held for court.
