Man Charged With Assault After Bar Dispute

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Greenwich, CT., man who punched a fellow bar patron in the jaw during an early morning dispute was arrested for assault Sunday, police say.

Police responded to 25 Waller Avenue at about 3:35 a.m. after a 24-year-old from Cortlandt reported he had been struck in the face inside of a nearby bar. The man pointed police to a nearby four-door Lexus, where he said the man had fled to.

After locating the suspect, who is also 24, police say the man told them he threw the punch after his girlfriend had been knocked down inside the bar. Police walked toward the bar to see if anyone had seen what happened, but as they walked away the two began to argue.
