Man Was Headed To Westchester To Kill Estranged Wife's New Beau: NYSP
Investigators said that he was on his way to Westchester County armed with three shotguns when he was stopped.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A dangerous situation was headed off nearly a hundred miles before reaching a potentially deadly outcome, according to state troopers.
New York State Police say that on Sept. 17, they responded to a Columbia County 911 broadcast for a man traveling through that county, possibly with the intent to murder his estranged wife's romantic partner in Westchester County.
41-year-old Andrew J. Case, of West Seneca, was found and arrested on Route 9 in Greenport. Investigators said that he was on his way to Westchester with three shotguns.

Case was arrested and charged with felony second degree attempted murder, felony first degree attempted assault, felony first degree criminal use of a firearm, and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
He was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. Case is scheduled to appear back in court on September 20.
