Operation Prom To Set Up Shop At Westchester County Center
The three-day event provides low-cost and free dresses and tuxedos for Westchester high school seniors going to proms.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The annual prom dress and tuxedo giveaway will take place at the Westchester County Center.
The county is partnering with the Operation Prom Network for the annual giveaway beginning Friday, April 26.
Now in its 20th year, the three-day event provides high quality, high style free and low-cost prom dresses and tuxedos to high school students in Westchester County.

For the second year in a row, the county is making Bee-Line bus trips to the County Center available for free for all students participating in Operation Prom. Students should show their school IDs and mention Operation Prom to bus drivers.

- Friday, April 26, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Free dresses and tuxedos for high school seniors with valid school ID or transcript. Reservations required. Reservations can be booked online through this link.
- Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Free dresses and tuxedos for high school seniors with valid school ID or transcript. No reservation required.
- Sunday, April 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Open to all students and the general public. *Dresses only, $10 donation per dress. Tuxedos/suits NOT available.
County Executive Geroge Latimer said no child should have to stay home on prom night because they can’t afford an outfit.
“For 20 years, Noel (D’Allacco-Ammirati) and Operation Prom have made sure that every child in Westchester can look sharp on prom night, and the county is proud of our continuing partnership in that effort, including offering free bus fare for students take part,” he said.
D'Allacco-Ammirati, the founder of Operation Prom National Network Inc., said the county has been a bedrock partner with her organization.
“Having partners in county government who truly care about families in need has been an essential part of allowing us to do what we do and is a real source of pride for this Yonkers native,” she said.
