PB&J Cupcakes Featured at Buttercup
Get them for this month only—next up in May? Pink lemonade.
Downtown White Plains has plenty of places to lunch—but some folks may prefer to brown bag a PB&J sandwich. Now fans of the basic sandwich can get it in a dessert version through the end of April at the Buttercup Bake Shop on Martine Ave.
Every month the bakery features a special flavor and this month's selection has ardent fans.
"It's my second day in a row coming in," said Alex Thomasson, a Queens resident who works across the street from the store, at the courthouse. "What can I say? Sweets are my weakness."

The fluffy cake is hollowed out and grape jelly is piped in, said Natalie Abreu, the shop's manager. "Then it's topped with peanut butter cream cheese frosting."
The shop has a steady flow of customers during the day and caters around the city. This weekend, Buttercup is supplying 600 mini cupcakes for fashion week at the Westchester Mall.
