Police: Daughter Threatens Father with Knife

A 20-year-old woman faces a misdemeanor charge after police say she confronted her father in the bathroom of their home armed with a kitchen knife and threatened to kill him.

Police were called to the family's Charles Street home Wednesday night at about 5 p.m. where they found the 20-year-old woman standing outside. When police entered the home they say furniture and other things were thrown around the living room and bathroom.

The 44-year-old father told police he had gone to the bathroom after a long argument with his daughter. He said his daughter then walked in holding a knife, threatening to kill him.

Police charged the daughter with menacing in the second-degree, a misdemeanor. She is being held without bail.
