Police: Woman Steals Variety of Goods From Target

The following arrest report was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

After selecting a variety of items in the at 9 City Place Tuesday afternoon, police say a New Rochelle woman hid the merchandise and tried to leave without paying.

Police say the 24-year-old pocketed six necklaces, two packs of earrings and a bracelet from the store's jewelry section then moved to another department where she tried to shoplift two packs of paint and two packs of craft beads.

The total value of the items was about $180, according to arrest reports.

Security at the store stopped the heist while the woman tried to leave. Police charged the woman with petit larceny and released her. She was due in court on Jan. 25.
