Proposed $278M White Plains School Budget On The Ballot May 20
Also on the ballot are four candidates vying for two seats on the Board of Education.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — The 2025 budget and school board vote is May 20, and two seats are up for election on the White Plains Public Schools school district board.
The proposed spending plan of $277,965,500 is 4.54 percent higher than the current budget.
The tax levy is expected to be increased 1.67 percent.

"This year's proposed budget of $277,965,500 reflects a fiscally conservative spending plan based on the annual update to our Long-Range Strategic Plan and Annual Budget Process, which enabled us to successfully forecast budget shortfalls, find efficiencies to close potential gaps and contend with rising costs while offering exciting, high-quality educational programming for all students," said Superintendent Joseph L. Ricca and Board President Rosemarie Eller.
Two school board seats are up for election, for three-year terms.

Candidates running include: Sheryl Brady, Mohammed S. Chowdury, Charlie Norris, and Julia Oliva.
