Tossed Remote, Punch, Leads to Assault Charge, Police Say

A 33-year-old White Plains woman was arrested Monday morning after police say she attacked a staffer paid to visit her apartment and care for her.

The female staffer called police after she said her visit to the Lake Street apartment went wrong at about 8:45 a.m. According to arrest reports, the 33-year-old woman who lives in the apartment threw a remote at the woman following a verbal dispute.

Police say as the staffer tried to leave, but the woman ran after her and struck her in the head.

The 33-year-old was charged with misdemeanor assault and taken to police headquarters. The alleged victim was taken to the emergency room for treatment.
