Parents and community volunteers joined up Saturday to build a new playground at the George Washington Elementary School in White Plains Saturday.
The school, which serve more than 700 students, has two playgrounds that are more than 15 years old and are in disrepair.
Organizer plan to rebuild the second playground later this month and hope to have both playgrounds ready by the time school starts in September.
