White Plains School Board & Budget Election Results Are In

The voters decided on a $266M White Plains School budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2024 budget and school board.

The proposed spending plan of $265,900,000 was passed by voters. The new budget is 3.6 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to be reduced to 1.06 percent, which amounts to $19.39 monthly for a White Plains homeowner with an assessed value of $15,000.

District officials said that the budget will support: instruction, employee benefits, general support, pupil transportation, debt service, and interfund transfers.

Three board seats were up for election. The three-year terms will start July 1, 2024. Craig Mondschein, Jessica Buck, and Cayne Letizia (incumbent) were elected to those seats.
