Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Hudson Valley
Dangerous conditions are possible on local roadways on Christmas.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Hudson Valley. It's in effect from 10 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday.
Light freezing rain may cause dangerous conditions on local roadways, the National Weather Service says.
"Slow down and use caution while traveling," the winter weather advisory says. "Prepare for possible power outages."

The freezing rain will change to plain rain by mid-morning.

Friday Night- Freezing rain likely, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total nighttime ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible.
Christmas Day- Freezing rain before 9am, then rain. High near 41. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible.
Saturday Night- A chance of rain before 7pm, then a chance of showers, mainly between 7pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Sunday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the morning.
Sunday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Monday- A slight chance of snow showers before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
Tuesday- A chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
