G Train Rider Beat Up for Asking Woman to Move Her Feet: NYPD

GREENPOINT, NY — One unfortunate Monday morning aboard the G Train early last month, a 44-year-old man was punched in the face by a woman who'd refused to make room for him on the train, according to the NYPD.

The G Train was traveling northbound through Greenpoint on Monday, April 4, around 9:15 a.m., police said in a news release, when the man asked the woman to kindly "move her feet from a seat so he could sit down."

So the woman did move her feet, police said — using them to kick her fellow passenger in the face.

She also allegedly punched the man during the assault.

The victim managed to snap the above photos of his attacker, police said, before she "fled the train" at the Court Square station (the G's last stop in Queens).

Detectives described the suspected attacker as a black woman around 30 years old, standing 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds. She was wearing a "dark colored coat with a fur-lined collar and black sweatpants" during the attack, according to police.
