At-Large Burglars Believed to Be Behind 17 Break-ins in Greenpoint and Williamsburg
The crime spree started on Feb. 17, while the two suspects most recently hit a home on March 22, according to police.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for two individuals (pictured above) believed to be behind at least 13 burglaries between Feb. 19 and March 22 — and three or four more unsuccessful attempts.
Almost all of the duo’s targets have been in Greenpoint or Williamsburg, with the exception of one Bushwick outlier, according to police.

Among their crimes, the suspects have stolen a car, jewelry, debit cards, electronics, and nearly $400 in cash, police said. They’ve also fled empty-handed on three or four occasions.
A map with all of the reported incidents is below, but here are a few unfortunate low-lights, according to police:

- The crime spree started early on the morning of Feb. 19, when the suspects broke into the home of a 32-year-old woman living near North 10 and Berry Streets, taking her car key and then her car.
- The worst single incident (property-wise) came early on the morning of March 10, when the pair stole a debit card, electronics, a credit card and about $100 from a house near the intersection of Skillman and Meeker Avenues.
- Most recently, on March 22, the suspects tried to rob a home near the intersection of Jackson Street and Manhattan Avenue, but didn’t succeed.
- On March 10, the suspects broke into three homes. They also busted into four houses on March 17.
Detectives describe the first suspect as a man standing about 5’10” in height and weighing approximately 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a gray knit cap.
The second suspect is a man standing about 5’10” and also weighing around 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a puffy black jacket, gray pants and a gray sweatshirt with a hood.

The crimes have taken place in Brooklyn's 83rd, 90th, and 94th precincts. According to official police statistics, so far this year, overall crime in the 83rd is down about 4 percent compared to the same period last year; down about 9 percent in the 90th; and up about 6 percent in the 94th.
