Williamsburg Theft Steals $1,100 in Cash From Car and Gets Away: Cops

Cops are looking for a man they say got into an unlocked car on Roebling Street and ran away with the cash, two checks, and clothing.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — The cops are looking for a man they say got into another man's parked and unlocked car in Williamsburg early Sunday morning and stole $1,100 in cash, two checks, and clothing.

The NYPD said the incident occurred at around 7 a.m. in front of 350 Roebling Ave., an apartment building that houses L'Chaim Kosher Wines and Spirits on the ground floor.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, 18 to 24 years old, 5'9'' to 5'1'' and 130 to 160 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans, and dark boots, police said.
