MISSING: Lamar Gamble, North Brooklyn Doorman, Last Seen Outside Greenpoint Bar

He was last seen in the early hours of Saturday morning outside Shayz Lounge, friends said.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — A man who appears to be in his late 20's-early 30's named Lamar Gamble, a doorman at several Greenpoint and Williamsburg bars, has gone missing, friends say.

Gamble was last seen by a bartender of the Greenpoint bar Shayz Lounge, at 130 Franklin St., at around 4:15 a.m. late Friday night/early Saturday morning outside the bar, according to a friend of Gambles'. He had left his phone inside Shayz earlier on Friday, the friend said.

Detectives of the 94th police precinct confirmed on Friday afternoon to Patch that Gamble was still missing, they had a missing person report on him, and that they were still working on finding him.

"Lamar is a great guy, he's always been super sweet and always looks out for everybody. He's been a staple around Greenpoint and Williamsburg for as long as I've lived here," his friend Jennifer wrote to Patch via Facebook private message.

"He worked the door at Lulu's and Lady Jays and Shayz. You could always count on seeing him around so it's really weird to not have seen him in a week. I literally have no idea where he would have gone and I highly doubt he would disappear like this on his friends and family. I just hope he is ok, I don't think anyone would have ill will towards him, all I know is he has been gone since Friday and that's not like him."
