Four People Injured During BQE Crash, FDNY Says
The crash closed down all Staten Island-bound lanes of the highway for more than two hours, officials said.

WILLIAMSBURG, NY — Four people were injured after a crash on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Tuesday afternoon, officials said. The collision caused delays on the highway from Metropolitan Avenue towards Staten Island during the rush hour commute, according to the city.
The crash happened around 1:28 p.m. on the highway near Kane Street, a spokesman for the FDNY said. The city closed all traffic from the Atlantic Avenue-exit around 2 p.m. then extended to Metropolitan Avenue at around 4 p.m., according to Notify NYC. The closure was lifted about a half-hour later.

Two people involved in the crash were taken by the FDNY to Lutheran Medical Center, officials said. The other two patients were transported from the scene by Hatzolah.
