We've covered a lot this month, but it occurs to us you may have missed some of the most popular stories covered by Patch sites across Brooklyn this month.

So here are a few of our top stories.

1. Child Killed In Fort Greene Car Accident

A 9-year-old boy was struck by a car and killed on DeKalb Avenue after a car lost its brakes and jumped a curb, running into a wall and striking him. The driver was later charged.

2. Jackie's Fifth Amendment Closes; Patrick Stewart Says Goodbye

The long life and extended fall of Jackie's 5th Amendment is over. The dive bar closed its doors for good earlier this month. The bar was sold off to Slope Drugs & Surgical Supply next door earlier this August, but remained opened for a few final drinks through the fall.

3. Everybody Panic: Bed-Stuy 'Next Williamsburg'

As if the rapid changes in real estate weren't apparent enough, a new article in Crain's New York has heralded Bed-Stuy as the "next Williamsburg." Citing the new location of an AptsandLofts.com office on Malcolm X Boulevard, the publication says the real estate office sees "potential" in Bed-Stuy to become the city's next "it" neighborhood.

4. Park Slope Pre-School Director Ordered to Resign, Pay $240K

During her time as Executive Director of the nonprofit Therapy and Learning Center in South Slope, Silvia Kuper used over $200,000 in school funds for personal use, an investigation by Attorney General Eric Schneiderman found.

5. Girl Sexually Assaulted, Officer Attacked in Park Slope

Police in the 78th precinct sought two men, one who reportedly grabbed an 11-year-old girl's buttocks in Park Slope and another who later assaulted a police officer investigating the incident.
