70-Year-Old Missing Since July 2 from Assisted Living Facility Near Kensington

MAPLETON, BROOKLYN — A 70-year-old resident of an assisted living facility in Mapleton has been missing since July 2, police said.
As previously reported on the KARMABrooklyn Blog, George Blair (pictured above) was last seen at about 6:10 a.m. at the Belvedere Senior Living Community, where he lives, according to the NYPD. The Belvedere is located at 5110 19th Ave.

A law enforcement source told Patch that George suffers from Alzheimer's disease. A manager at the Belvedere couldn't immediately be reached for comment on Tuesday.
Detectives describe George as standing at five-foot-ten-inches and weighing about 170 pounds. He has a dark complexion, gray hair and a mustache. Detectives aren't sure what he was last seen wearing.
