Are You Exited About Lakeside Center Opening?

The Kensington Brooklyn Blog reported that Lakeside Center in Prospect Park is due to open in December.
"The latest upgrade to Prospect Park, the Lakeside Center, is a 26-acre recreational area which will cost, when it is done, about $74 million," the blog reported.
According to the Prospect park website, the Lakeside Center sought to:
- Renovate 26 acres of parkland
- Replace the winter only ice rink with a four season facility
- Add five acres to the Lake and three acres of green space
- Construct a “green” building that qualifies for LEED certification
- Restore the original Olmsted and Vaux design for the Lake area and its shoreline
