Aprons On, Gloves Off for Teen Battle Chefs
Who will bring home the bacon in this year's competition?
Sharpen your knives and straighten your mise en place, young chefs of Kensington and Windsor Terrace. It's time to do battle.
After a highly successful inaugural season, Teen Battle Chef is back, ready to whip budding gourmands into mean, lean culinary machines.
Sponsored by the office of Councilman Brad Lander, D-Park Slope, in partnership with Family Cook Productions, the competition consists of grooming contenders for competition over the course of eight weeks, giving them time to hone their healthy cooking and teamwork skills.

Battles will take place weekly after the initial introductory sessions, with two teams of three competitors each facing off at Brooklyn Commune. Participants who haven't had their fill of food-related fun after the eight weeks are up are invited to apply for summer positions with the GrowNYC Youthmarket farm stand at Fort Hamilton Parkway between East 4th Street and East 5th Street.
The competition is open to all high school students in the Kensington and Windsor Terrace area.
