KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A 69-year-old man who was riding his bike in Kensington earlier this week was hit and killed by a bus driver, police said.
The man was riding his bike northbound on East Seventh Street on Monday morning around 7:30 a.m., according to police.
The driver was headed west on Beverly Road, according to police, and tried to make a left turn onto Seventh and hit the bicyclist.

The elderly man was taken to Maimonides Hospital and died of his injuries two days later, police said. The bus driver remained on scene and was not arrested, police said.
Beverly Road has a shared bike lane, but East Seventh Street has no markings for cyclists on it. In June, Community Board 7 voted to recommend installing dedicated bike lanes on 10th and 11th Avenues in Windsor Terrace.
