While Walgreens officials have been invited to participate in the meeting, we have yet to receive word on whether the pharmacy mega-chain will accept. Both Lander and Markowitz , in order to ensure that area residents—namely, the elderly and those without cars—still have access to at least a modicum of fresh food.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, located at 245 Prospect Park West.
