The event will be led by Councilman Brad Lander, New York State Assembly candidate Robert Carroll and community board member Mamnunul Haq.

KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — A voter registration drive kicking off in Kensington on Wednesday night will target the neighborhood's Bangladeshi community.
New York City Councilman Brad Lander, whose district includes part of the neighborhood, will lead the drive with Robert Carroll — currently running to replace State Assemblyman James Brennan — and Mamnunul Haq, a member of Community Board 12.
The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Walgreens at Kensington Plaza, located at the intersection of Church Avenue and Beverley Road. Registration forms will be distributed in both English and Bengali.

If you're not registered to vote at your current address, your application must be received by the Board of Elections by August 24, or (if mailed) postmarked by August 19.
