A shiny new set of circular bike racks was added to Prospect Avenue near Reeve Place Tuesday morning.
The five "hoop" style racks, which were selected in 2008 as the winner of the CityRacks Design Competition, are perched on either side of Prospect Avenue, joining an older set of upside-down "U" racks.
According to a Department of Transportation spokesperson, the agency plans to install even more racks around Community Board 7—which includes Sunset Park, South Slope and Greenwood Heights— in the coming weeks, in order to accommodate growing demand for bike parking.
