Prospect Park Alliance Junior Committee to Hold Summer Soiree Thursday

The Prospect Park Alliance Junior Committee is holding its annual summer soiree Thursday, July 26 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. at

The event will celebrate the group's 10 years of work on behalf of the park as well as raise funds to ensure the Prospect Park Alliance can continue to help care for the park, according to a press release.

"As the city budget has shrunk, the Alliance has taken on more of the financial burden of not just restoring Prospect Park but also its daily operating expenses – the Alliance now pays for two-thirds of the operating expenses, up from half only about 5 years ago," the release continued.

The soiree, which is "gold rush" themed, will include music, dancing, drinks, boat rides, and a supporting silent auction.
